Stanley & Julie Buxa Nursing Scholarship The Stanley and Julie Buxa Nursing Scholarship was established with a gift from the estate of Julie Buxa from Harvey. This permanently endowed scholarship supports North Dakotans pursuing a nursing education. Julie was born and raised in Harvey. She earned a nursing degree from the University of North Dakota and worked as a nurse for Trinity Medical Center in Minot and later at St. Aloisius Medical Center in Harvey. Julie also served as a nursing instructor in Minot and Harvey. As a permanently endowed fund, this scholarship will honor Julie’s commitment to nursing education forever. 1 $300.00 scholarship awarded. Deadline: March 31, 2026

OADN Scholarship Program The Organization for Associate Degree Nursing Foundation provides annual scholarships to students in Associate Degree nursing programs.
ND AHEC Stipend Programs The ND Area Health Education Center has multiple funding opportunities to those that complete clinical rotations and internships in rural or underserved areas. The AHEC Scholars program is a two-year program, offering $500 per year following completion of program requirements (this program is best suited for students who are going to complete both years of the Dakota Nursing Program). The clinical rotations program provides $250 stipends for students that are doing rotations in a rural or underserved setting that require out of pocket costs.
ND Career Builders Scholarships – The ND Career Builders Scholarship and Loan Repayment Program is a unique partnership between the state and private sector business, whereby for each dollar of private support received, the state will contribute a dollar of public funding. If the student has support from a private sector business, the money from the business will be met by the Career Builder Program. The student should contact the financial aid office at their campus about the program.
